1000 miles one way. 16hrs. Lakewood,CO to Sierra Madre,CA. That was the journey that laid before Bri and I and the dogs. The only way we could get it done was to go straight through the night, no breaks. Could we do it? Not even a snow storm in Utah could stop us.

Day with Old Man Evans Part 2: Coors Tour
After a morning of fishy fun, we took Cowboy Bronco Billy to get a cool beverage at the Miller-Coors factory tour in Golden, CO. Its a nice 30 min self-guided jaunt through an impressive facility and you get free beer at the end.

Day with Old Man Evans Part 1: Denver Aquarium
My dad, Cowboy Bronco Billy, came up to spend the weekend with Bri and myself, so we did it up Aquarium style! (because what else do you do on a beautiful day but go look at fish.) It turned out to be quite the experience with bug eyes, shark tanks, and electronic apes for all.
Blackhawk/Central City
Bri and I went on a drive through Central City to see their cemeteries and made a point to come back and actually go into town and see what Colorado gambling is like (unless you count the Sky Ute Casino, which we do not). So with ten dollars to split we drove up and tested out our luck.

Central City Cemeteries

We decided on the Crazed Corn Field Maze in Thornton, CO that boasted 20+ acres of directional skills testing. So fun!

Colorado State Fair
Brianne and I went to the Colorado State Fair. Ah the Colorado State Fair. Nothing beats the smell of livestock at 100 degrees, it makes a man feel alive. So hot in fact that the camera decided to crap out twards the end of the day. We decided to go early to catch the livestock judging and to get some pictures of the food vendors before the crowds came in.

Mount Lindo Memorial Park
This Labor Day Weekend (Sunday) I celebrated an early birthday by dragging Dad and Vondy to Scott and my favorite local memorial park. We then went to A Taste of Colorado in downtown Denver (see previous blog). From what I could tell they enjoyed it!

The Denver Chalk Art Festival on Larimer Square, Part 2!
It's Sunday, day two of the Denver Chalk Art Festival, and what a day it was. It had rained the night before, not what you want to happen during a chalk art festival. Thankfully none of the artist's drawings where damaged. Lets take a look at some pics, shall we?
