Central City Cemeteries

In September we decided to take a drive to Blackhawk since I've never seen it before. Instead of getting out at one of the many casinos, we decided to stay on the little road that runs through the town. At the end of that road we found five cemeteries, all within about 20 yards of each other.

The first one we went to was the one in the back, the Catholic Cemetery.

"First I am a man, then I am an artist" I really enjoyed this tomb stone.

We then walked over to the Red Men Lodge Cemetery, although only to view as you can not go in without the key to the lock. I never knew there were 'Members Only' cemeteries!

We then walked over to the IOOF (Independent Order of Odd Fellows) Cemetery. There were some 'odd' head stones!

We then went to the old Central City Cemetery.

Strange to think they relocate graves.

The view from this bench was beautiful. It was all by itself off of the trail.

It was a great time to pass up on the casinos since the leaves were just starting to change. It was a really peaceful trip to Blackhawk/ Central City.
