St. Patrick's Day - Denver Style

We participated in the annual tradition of a St. Patrick's Day parade.
This one's a long blog of pictures, so sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

We came around the corner to see if we were on the right track for finding the parade.
Well, the massive crowd was a good sign.

The usual peddlers selling their wares out of shopping carts.

The early comers lined up their chairs.

Tailgaters.... now that's a good idea!

Just in case the crowds of people lining the street weren't enough,
they painted a thick green line for the parade entries to follow.

This spot looks perfect! We'll take it!
We ended up standing behind the handicap and elderly reserved section. It was the perfect spot!

The panel of judges.

The parade committee.

This year's "Queen Colleen"

Kilt Cop!!

It's Nessie!

Where's Ronald?

I thought I saw a leprechaun!

The drunkard float.

Well, I supposed they ARE green!

Kilt stormtrooper!

Never seen a marching band in hard hats and flannels!

A fleet of Deloreans?

Civil War Re-enactors.

And at the end.... the pot of gold.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
